General information on the care of Torpol products
Torpol products can be machine washed at up to 30°C and then either tumble dried or air dried.
Before washing, make sure you have closed all velcro fasteners, buckles, etc. It is also recommended to wash products with metal fittings separately, as such items may damage other products during the washing process.
Sort and wash the products according to their colors. In particular, it is recommended to wash white products separately.
General information on the care of Evolon® material
Due to the extremely high sorption properties of Evolon®, which allow the absorption of a quantity of liquid equivalent to 400% of the mass of the fabric, it is recommended to check the amount of water used during washing and adjust it if necessary!
Care of products with knitted wool and earnets
Products with knitted wool (saddle pads, saddle pads, pads, protectors) as well as earnets can be machine washed at up to 30°C on the wool or delicate cycle using mild detergents recommended for wool.
Air dry or tumble dry on the “wool” or “delicates” setting. Products must not be dried on a heater or in direct, strong sunlight.
For hoof and leg care products, you should remove the inserts from the products before washing. For best results, wash and dry the inserts and products separately following the instructions above.
Excessive drying of a sheepskin product will cause the product to stiffen and deform, resulting in a loss of its properties and performance.
Both washing and drying wool knitwear at high temperatures leads to felting or other compaction of the wool fibers.
CARE of pet beds with magnetic field
Before washing the pet beds, open the product cover and remove the foam inserts and magnets where possible. After removing the inserts, the cushions should be cared for and cleaned according to the general instructions for caring for Torpol products.
If necessary, the cover can be washed in warm water (up to 30°C) with a mild detergent and air dried.
Once completely dry, the cushions can be put back into the cover.
Care of saddle pads with magnetic field
The magnets in the saddle pads and pads are sealed in a sturdy foil and can therefore be washed without any problem.
We recommend removing any hair from the saddle pad first. Close the Velcro fasteners. We recommend washing the saddle pad individually on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent. We recommend washing saddle pads and saddle cloths made with Nelson™ wool according to our care instructions for wool products/merino wool products listed above.
care of stable equipment
Before cleaning the stable equipment, you should remove all elements such as polyurethane inserts, wooden strips, etc. Empty all pockets, close the Velcro and zippers and then follow the general instructions for maintaining Torpol products.
After drying, the removed elements should be reinserted in their corresponding places.
Additional Information
The loss of hair in wool knitwear is a natural process.
Knitted wool and sheepskin products have a distinct, natural smell.
The NMA and NMB magnets do not lose their properties when washed. The NMA magnets are properly protected and permanently attached to the products. They should not be removed during care.
It is recommended to wash products with Velcro fasteners, zippers, metal elements, etc. in a washing bag or net. This way, the products and their individual parts will not be damaged, nor will they damage other products that are being washed or dried at the same time.
Sensitive products, such as ear nets, should be washed in bags.
